Thursday, December 4th, 2008

Joel Silver, Larry Wachowski and Andy Wachowski produced “The Matrix” in 1999. This science fiction movie also includes martial arts action and fast action. The movie stars Keanu Reeves in his best performance ever. The movie depicts the future, as it is perceived by humans that is actually the Matrix. The electrical activity and body heat from humans is used as the energy source. After learning this, Neo (a secret life hacker) rebels against the sentient machines that subdue and pacify the human population.

Neo sets out to find out what the Matrix is and how it is used. Neo has secret codes appearing on his computer screen that eventually lead him to the Morpheus, who in turn offers Neo an opportunity to learn all about the Matrix. Neo swallows a red pill after agreeing that he wants to know more. Neo is then hooked up the Matrix by a socket in the back of his head.

The visual affects of the movie are incredible. The technology used to make this movie were not as sophisticated as they are today, but “The Matrix” is the best science fiction movie of its time. The cast and crew were able to give you a new perspective on the future.

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

“The Punisher” is a comic book fictional character. The vigilante considers torture, violence, coercion, extortion, kidnapping and killing fighting tactics that are acceptable. The killing of his family drives “The Punisher” when they witnessed a gangland shooting in Central Park. He fights wars against the criminals and the mob. He is a one-man vigilante with nothing but hatred for crime and those who commit it.

The 1974 comic book and the vigilante was featured in “The Punisher Armory,” “The Punisher War Zone” and “The Punisher War Journal,” which are spin-offs of the popular comic book. There are also movies that were inspired by the comic book that aired in 1989, 2004 and a December 2008 release.

Punisher was supplied with high tech equipment and vehicles by his sidekick, Microchip. The Punisher fights crime and will stop at nothing until everyone is taken out. He fights against the drug dealers, mobs, racists, mugger, street gangs and psychopaths. Nothing stops the Punisher. He is invincible and fights crime on the streets.

The original Punisher was canceled in 1995, but was resurrected from 1995 to 1997 as a willing member of a crime family. That ran for eighteen issues and then from 1998 to 1999, The Punisher: Purgatory ran as a supernatural agent.

Understanding The Fibonacci Sequence

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

The Fibonacci sequence is numbers that are named after a man known as Fibonacci, Leonardo of Pisa. The Fibonacci numbers were introduced in his book Liber Abaci. The sequence is considered Western European math, but some have described the sequence as being Indian math. The math sequence starts with 0 and is followed by 1. Each number after the previous number is the sum equal to the previous two numbers. For instance, 0 plus 1 equals 1, 1 plus 1 equals 2, 1 plus 2 equal three and so forth.

The Fibonacci sequence of numbers is crucial in the run time analysis for Euclid’s algorithm in order to find the greatest common divisor of any two integers. The algorithm is in fact a pair of Fibonacci numbers consecutively. The pseudorandom number generators use the number sequence and are found in the analysis of the Fibonacci data structure. The sequence of Fibonacci numbers is also used in music to determine tuning. It is also used in visual art to determine the size and length of formal or content elements.

Overall, the Fibonacci sequence of numbers is used for everything. It is used in nature and for the description of the population reproduction of bees
